Fat bombs are wonderful for newbies to keto and those in maintenance mode. Fat bombs give a boost of healthy fat, protein and a small amount of carbs. They’re the perfect go to snack, breakfast on the run or a saviour for the keto traveller! These tasty fat bombs must be kept in the refrigerator as they start to melt at room temperature.

If you wanted to add a little more structure to these you can simply melt a dark chocolate (80% or higher) and dip the balls into the chocolate. Put them in the fridge to harden the chocolate. This will give them more time out of the fridge before they start to melt.

Keto Christina Fat Bombs Recipe Chocolate Almond Coconut

The recipe

Makes 15 Balls – 3 g net carbs per serving and 26g of fat

125g of almond butter

125g of coconut oil

65g of cacao powder

30g of coconut flour

Stevia to taste (around a tablespoon gives a nice sweetness)

25g of shredded coconut (toasted or raw but read the label to make sure it’s sugar free)


Melt the almond butter and coconut oil in a saucepan

Add in the cacao powder, coconut flour, stevia and mix well

Let the mixture cool

Using a spoon make 10-15 ping-pong sized balls

Roll the balls in raw or toasted shredded coconut

Refrigerate to set and store in fridge until you’re ready to eat them
